Wealth Management in Palmetto Bay
Search 'financial advisor Palmetto Bay' and you get downtown firms with a Palmetto Bay page on their websites. We are not that. Our office is at 16132 SW 74th Place, Miami, FL 33157. Same ZIP as the village. A few minutes from Old Cutler Road. Maredin was founded in 2005. Independent from the start.
Palmetto Bay incorporated in 2002. Roughly 24,000 people live here across 33157 and 33158, from Coral Reef Park down to the Deering Estate, from the streets off Old Cutler Road to the waterfront on Biscayne Bay. We drive these roads every day. That is context, and context matters. A house on the bay changes a balance sheet. So does a practice that took twenty years to build.
Most of the families we meet here are in the peak stretch. Peak earnings. Peak obligations. A mortgage, tuition, aging parents, two careers, and a 401(k) that gets one glance a year. The questions are real and the time to think about them is not. That is the stage we do most of our work in.
How we are set up: Maredin is independent and fee-based. No broker-dealer affiliation, no bank parent, no proprietary product to place. We are registered as an investment adviser with the Florida Office of Financial Regulation. The principal is Marcelo Zinn, CRD 3168985.
What the work usually looks like
Cash flow at peak income
High income hides a lot. Two salaries come in, the bills get paid, the accounts grow, and nobody can say what the household actually spends. The first work is a map. What is committed. What is discretionary. What happens if one income stops for a year. We build that picture before we talk about a single investment. It changes the conversation. A family that knows its real numbers can weigh a decision. A family guessing at them is reacting.
Retirement plans for practice owners
If you own a practice or a small company, the retirement plan is usually the largest tax decision you make each year. It also gets the least attention. A SEP, a safe harbor 401(k), a cash balance plan layered on top — these are different structures with different contribution limits, different costs, and different obligations to employees. Most owners pick one once and never look again. We review the plan documents, the employee census, and the contribution math, and we put the choices in front of you.
Working with your CPA and attorney
Most households here already have a CPA and an estate attorney. We do not replace them. We make sure all three of us are working from the same facts. The same balance sheet. The same account titling. The same beneficiary designations. That sounds basic. It is also where things break — the trust that never got funded, the old 401(k) with a former spouse still named, the K-1 the planner never saw. Coordination is a job. We treat it as ours.
How we are set up
Maredin is independent. Founded in 2005, based in Miami. No broker-dealer parent, no bank, no fund company, no proprietary product to place. We advise a limited number of relationships. That is a constraint on the business and the reason the work can be built around one household instead of assembled from a template.

Common questions
Is Maredin Wealth Advisors a fiduciary?
Maredin Wealth Advisors is an investment adviser registered with the Florida Office of Financial Regulation, and we act in a fiduciary capacity for our advisory clients. Registration does not imply a certain level of skill or training. The principal is Marcelo Zinn, CRD 3168985. Our Form ADV Part 2A brochure is available on request.
How does Maredin get paid?
We are fee-based. We do not sell proprietary products, and we are not affiliated with a broker-dealer, a bank, or a fund company. Our fees, compensation arrangements, and conflicts of interest are described in Item 5 of our Form ADV Part 2A. We provide that document before any engagement begins. Read it. Then ask us about anything in it.
Do you only work with clients in 33157 and 33158?
No. Palmetto Bay is home, and much of our work is within a few miles of the office. We also advise households in Pinecrest, Cutler Bay, South Kendall, and other parts of South Miami-Dade. Distance is not the deciding factor. Fit is.
